Meet Melanie
About Me
Hi, I’m Melanie Underwood and I am passionate about supporting women through every stage of life. My aim is to listen, educate and empower you to take control and live your life with confidence.

I am a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 25 years experience. I specialise in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of conditions, including bladder and bowel dysfunction, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, pregnancy-related conditions, postnatal recovery, and symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause.
I am trained in the assessment, fitting and management of vaginal pessaries, a certified Mummy MOT® practitioner, and I offer scar therapy for C-section and gynaecological surgery recovery.
Women’s health services have historically been under-recognised and, at times, difficult to access. Through my work, I’m committed to helping bridge that gap by providing evidence-based information and accessible, high-quality care.

My approach is compassionate and empathetic, and I want every woman to leave feeling heard, understood, and more confident in her body.
Outside of work, I’m married to Pete and have two energetic young boys who keep me on my toes. I love staying active and spending time outdoors, which continues to reinforce my belief in helping women feel strong, capable and able to fully enjoy everyday life.
